Joseph R. Melanson has more than 25 years' experience as a full-time aerial photographer. The more than 7,000 hours he has spent in airplanes and helicopters make him your best choice for aerial photography. All of our aerial photos are taken on 2" x 3" negatives or with professional digital equipment for superb clarity and sharpness. The 10,000 scenic photos on view on this website are but a small fraction of our complete photography file. We have more than 100,000 aerial images on file, including many industrial sites, bridges and construction sites, as well as colleges, sports stadiums, city skylines, coastlines, national parks, and all the other scenic pictures. Joe Melanson is available for custom aerial photography throughout the U.S.A. We fly our own aircraft and have a network of helicopters throughout the United States. All production work is completed in-house, from our Kodak professional color lab, our color calibrated high-grade scanners, and fast internet uploads. Upon receipt of your order, we will provide a high grade, color corrected scan direct from our 2 x 3 inch negatives or professional digital images. The scan is made to your specifications. We offer very fast turnaround time. Along with your scan you will receive a release form giving permission for your use of the picture. A typical scan is 30 megabytes with an output size of 8" x 10" and resolution of 300 pixels per inch (ppi), in tiff format. The images are extremely sharp and colorful. Scans are color corrected to ICC profiles and are ready for print. We will upload this image to our website for you to download or directly to your FTP site if available, or we can ship it to you on a CD.

A higher grade scan of up to 200 megabytes at 4000 ppi is also available for a moderate additional fee. The Port Authority of New York printed 60 x 80 inch prints from our super scans with excellent results.
